UBL, WASA ink contract to pay bills on-line

KARACHI: The United Bank Limited (UBL) signed a contract with Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), in Rawalpindi, for an innovative e-billing system. Managing Director WASA Lt Col ® Islam-ul-Haque and Vice President Business Head E-commerce Group UBL Aurangzaib Alamgir signed the agreement through which WASA customers can pay their bills on-line. Islam-ul-Haque, said consumers would be able to pay their WASA bills through UBL’s website and customer help-line. Alamgir said this facility would help consumers save time by avoiding waiting in long queues in order to pay their bills. He said non-UBL customers could also avail this facility using UBL Orion (Mobile Banking Service), while there are plans to introduce cards in order to facilitate customers further. staff report
