Pakistan, Brunei close to Visa Waiver Agreement
Staff Report ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Brunei Darussalam have agreed in principle on a Visa Waiver Arrangement for diplomatic and official passport holders. Interior Ministry sources told Daily Times on Monday that higher officials of the two countries were engaged in consultation over the draft agreement to abolish visa requirements for diplomatic and official passport-holders. The ministry had prepared the draft agreement, supervised by its joint secretary (Political), they said. Foreign Office (FO), they said, had also given green to the draft. Brunei would also consider expediting visa approval for businessmen from Pakistan, they said, adding the two countries had signed Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreement to facilitate cross-border transactions and investment. http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp...08_pg11_10 |
