Prior knowledge: Shahbaz claimed the Crime Investigation Department (CID) had already informed his government about the terrorist threat to the cricket team, alleging the government had been concerned with horse-trading than security, Online reported.

“I also held meetings with the inspector general of police, the home secretary, Ejaz Butt and other officials concerned to prepare a plan to thwart the terrorism attempt, due to the strong possibility of such an incident occurring,” he said, adding, “But the governor’s government diverted the attention of security agencies to some other issue.”
