Islamabad: ITP starts shuttle bus service between Pak Secretariat and Ayub Chowk
Islamabad: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) is taking positive steps for effective community policing and to provide better transport services to the citizens.
SSP (Traffic) Dr. Sultan Azam Temuri stated this while inaugurating ITP bus shuttle service for the employees of Pak Secretariat here on Tuesday. The ITP has started the shuttle service to facilitate the employees from the Pak Secretariat to Ayub Chowk during office hours. The citizens highly appreciated the service. The SSP said that aim of shuttle service is to develop concept of community policing and to provide better traffic services to the citizens adding the ITP had already started a bus train service, which is plying between Karal to Secretariat, Karal to F-8 and G-11 to Secretariat on nominal fares during office hours. “With the cooperation of representatives of public transport, ITP will start a bus service for women, which will ply between the twin cities,” he added. http://www.thenews.com.pk/daily_detail.asp?id=179789 |
