Tree plantation campaign launched in Shah Faisal Town

KARACHI: Environment pollution could be stopped by raising awareness among the masses along with planting trees in the city, said Sindh minister Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari while inaugurating the ‘Green and Clean Shah Faisal Town Plantation Campaign’ in Shah Faisal Town on Sunday. While planting a tree outside the Cardiac Emergency Centre, he said 100,000 more trees would be planted with the commendable arrangements of cleanliness in the town. He also said every society member should play their due role for the betterment of the atmosphere. He added that pollution in the environment should be stopped. He asked the masses to plant more trees and said collaborative efforts were required in this regard. Shah Faisal Town Administrator Kamal Mustafa said uplift projects in the town were underway besides more trees being planted along the streets, roads and family parks in order to provide clean and green environment to the masses. ppi
