CDA asks hotel owners to improve food quality
ISLAMABAD (APP) – DHS of Capital Development Authority has decided to take strict action against hotels and restaurants selling sub standard food items in different sectors of the federal capital.
An official of DHS talking to APP said that the campaign has been launched on the Directive of Chairman, CDA, Imtiaz Inayat Elahi. He said that the owners of hotels were directed to keep kitchens and overall system clean otherwise fines will be imposed. He warned the owners of the hotels to ensure provision of quality food to the people and avoid malpractice. He informed that during drive CDA had confiscated sub-standard food items and beverages and issued warnings to the concerned vendors for violating the food laws. He said that some fabricated water bottles were also confiscated, which were being sold under the tempered labels of some registered companies. He said that the authorities would continue the campaign against the sub-standard food items and beverages till their complete elimination. |
