Lahore DCO warns Ravi inhabitants of floods

LAHORE: Deputy Commissioner Officer (DCO) Sajjad Bhutta has directed the administrative authorities to warn the inhabitants on the banks of the Ravi River about the danger of flash floods in the area, a private TV channel reported on Sunday.

Members of the provincial assembly, patwaris and tehsildars will issue notices to the people in this regard. The deputy commisioner officer has said that the provincial capital, Lahore, might receive floods if India unleashes water in the river, therefore residents near the Ravi River need to be careful, the channel reported.
