Islamabad Silver City project inaugurated
CDA seeks private partnership to run affairs
Capital Development Authority Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi on Friday inaugurated Silver City’, a commercial project in G-11 Markaz. Speaking on the occasion, he said that by levying or increasing tax, organizations cannot be run, thus CDA in future has planned to launch development projects in collaboration with private sector to increase its revenues. He said CDA would not follow a policy of selling plots to run its affairs and emphasized that private sector should come forward for the progress and development of the federal capital. He said that investors should invest in different development projects for which purpose the CDA has announced a big commercial project at Park Road on profit-and-loss basis. He said that Silver City will prove an excellent commercial project and announced that in sector G-11 Markaz, along with construction of a mosque, a water filtration plan will also be constructed. He also announced that in the Markaz, development work will be put on fast track to provide better facilities to the people of that area. He said that presence of a large number of people at the inaugural of the Silver City project signifies their great interest in it. Silver City Chief Executive Mian Aslam Farid said that renowned developers are the part of this project and it would prove a transparent and unique project for the citizens of the federal capital. FPCCI Chief Mahfooz Elahi, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Ch Asghar, Sardar Tanveer and others also made speeches. |
