Pindi to have new modern public park

Rawalpindi—Rawalpindi city will have a new modern public park soon as the land for the proposed project, to be built at Rawal Road, has been handed over to the City District Government Rawalpindi.

Whereas work to award the contract to a consultant company is underway.

Commissioner Rawalpindi Zahid Saeed has said that a public park namely “Rawalpindi Public Park” would be constructed on a 96 kanal peace of land at Rawal Road under the supervision of City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR).

Civil Aviation Authority has already transferred the land to CDGR for the park while this park would have best recreational facilities for the citizens. Modern fountains would also be installed for the amusement of families and children.

A briefing held here at Commissioner Zahid Saeed’s office which was attended among others by various consultant companies. Designs and other facilities for the park were discussed in the meeting. DCO Saqib Zafar was also present during the briefing.

The representatives of various consultant companies including Shelter consultants, Ghandhara consultants, Sadat Consultants and Envirogreen & construction Pvt. Limited attended the meeting.
