Toll tax at Simly Dam Road, Shadra enforced

ISLAMABAD: With a view to facilitate the rural population of the federal capital and to improve the existing local tax system under the Local Government Ordinance 1979, Islamabad Chief Commissioner Tariq Mahmood Pirzada convened the sector-wise meetings of the 12 Union Councils administrators here on Wednesday.

The meeting also reviewed the collection of current local taxes by the union councils and a proposal for imposition of toll tax at Simly Dam Road and Shadra Road was also considered in the meeting, which was approved in principal.

The proposals of imposing municipal tax on the mobile towers, cable networks, sign boards was also considered in the meeting and the chair approved the proposal in principal and directed the officials to put up summary to this effect to him for formal approval.
