PDWP approves projects worth over Rs 12,000 million
LAHORE - The provincial development working party (PDWP) of the Planning and Development Board has approved eight uplift schemes which will be executed at an estimated cost of Rs 12,166.967 million, Planning and Development Board Chairman Javaid Aslam said in a meeting. The approved schemes include: Green Tractor Scheme at a cost of Rs 2000 million, construction of new OPD Block in Services Hospital at a cost of Rs 1,426.453 million, Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology at a cost of Rs 2,588.225 million, 3rd party validation of the schemes pertaining to irrigation sector costing Rs 10 million to Rs 100 million at a cost of Rs 1.249 million, optimising canal and groundwater management to assist water user associations in maximzing crop production and managing salinisation with Australian assistance at a cost of Rs 148.352 million, construction of 4.54 km long Kallar Syedan Bypass Road District Rawalpindi at a cost of Rs 472.688 million, provision of laptops at a cost of Rs 4,000 million, provision of buses for colleges in Punjab at a cost of Rs 1,530 million.
