Judicial Complex underpass project approved

RAWALPINDI – City District Management has approved underpass project to ensure secure crossing for the people during their movement from district courts Rawalpindi to new judicial complex.

Earlier the MNA and district administration had approved plan to build overhead bridge but this plan was rejected by District Bar Association Rawalpindi on the plea that all the overhead bridges built inside the city so far have failed to serve their purpose.

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has given final approval to this project, which will be constructed at the cost of Rs 50 million. Its contract has been awarded to NLC.

Walk through gates will be installed on the entry and exit points at both the sides of underpass. Special illumination arrangement will be ensured inside the underpass.
