Work in G-14/2 & 3 to resume in two days

The development work in sectors G-14/2 and G-14/3 is likely to start in a couple of days following successful negotiations between the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and affected people of the sector.



Sources said that during the meeting, the affected people demanded that the development activity in Sector G-15/3 where they are being allotted alternative plots should also start simultaneously.



The officials of the ICT administration later talked to the officials of the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) who accepted their demand.



An official of the foundation said that the earth-levelling work in Sector G-15/3 would be undertaken from Wednesday (today) while the development work in sectors G-14/2 and G-14/3 would resume in a day or two. The National Construction Limited (NCL) was awarded the contract of the civil work in two sub-sectors, but the development activity was suspended time and again due to intervention of the affected people.
