Lahore: City Govt pledges to eradicate 'Qabza Groups' by special task force

CITY District Government Lahore (CDGL) has decided to provide free legal aid to those orphans, elderly people and widows who were facing illegal occupation on their properties. According to a handout issued on Thursday, the District Coordinating Officer (DCO) said the CDGL would also provide legal assistance to the male and female prisoners who could not pursue their cases. The DCO also announced formation of a committee for the funeral of unclaimed bodies. He said all the government and private properties which had been illegally occupied by Qabza groups would be vacated through a task force. He said a committee would present the record of illegally occupied properties within a week and then a big operation would be started while special cells had been constituted in the offices of DCO and Operations SSP for the purpose.
