EOBI Land Scam – Supreme Court Ordains To Conduct Fair Probe

Islamabad – Chief Justice Pakistan, on Monday, presided over a three-member Supreme Court bench, for taking up the case of selling EOBI land at throwaway prices.

CJ said, “Court wants fair probe into the Employees Old-age Benefit Institution (EOBI) case. FIA should make sure that the investigation is held in allegiance with the relevant laws.”

DHA (Defence Housing Authority) briefed the court about the withdrawal of amount to pay emoluments to the employees. However, the court pronounced that investigations, as per laws, will be conducted in this regard.

FIA also presented an inquiry report regarding the EOBI land scam. Petitions were filed by the related parties for removal of names from ECL list. However, the court remarked that the related individuals should consult proper forum in this regard.
