According to sources of the Cabinet Division, the CDA has conducted a survey of various areas of the capital to identify sites for the allotment of land to former president and prime ministers of the country. When asked about the details of allotment of land to the previous rulers, the sources said that as soon as the sites are identified, the details and locations would be finalised. Responding to proposed rates of allotment of land, the sources said, “There is no finalisation of rates so far as the sites are being finalised for this purpose.” When an official of the CDA was contacted in this regard, he confirmed the development, saying that it was true that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has planned to allot land in the non- residential sectors of Islamabad to the former presidents and former prime ministers of the country. “Till date, four to five sites are being surveyed for this purpose,” he added.
