Traders hail reduction in car import duty

LAHORE: Jail Road Traders Association hailed the decision of the federal government of reducing 5 percent excise duty on the import of new cars. In a statement issued on Monday, General Secretary Zafar Iqbal Goraya said that due to reduction in taxes the prices of new vehicles would go down by Rs 25,000 to Rs 60,000. He said that due to the decision the business activity would increase and automobile industry would revive. staff report
