Karachi: CDGK’s land revenue wing collects Rs253m

The Land Revenue Recovery Department of City District Government Karachi’s (CDGK) KDA Wing collected a total of Rs253,406,964 during the last three months of the previous fiscal year. The department, headed by District Officer (DO) Mukarram Sultan Bukhari, recovered record revenues for the CDGK.

DO Bukhari said that the recovery campaign by the department was also aimed at providing all possible assistance and convenience to property owners so that they could get their property matters solved in the least possible time. Meanwhile, the Local Tax Recovery Department of City Government also collected Rs100 million more than the total recovery of the last year.

The department had last year collected Rs400million while this year Rs500million was recovered as revenue. It may be noted here that City Nazim Mustafa Kamal had directed the formulation a new policy for the hoardings and billboards in the city under which the department had removed all old billboards and replaced them with new equal sized ones.
