Islamabad: CDA chief orders timely completion of projects

Chairman Capital Development Authority Imtiaz Inayat Elahi Monday ordered the concerned authorities to ensure the completion of all mega projects within the prescribed schedule to save public money and avoid inconvenience.

According to the spokesperson of the civic body, work on all mega projects is in full swing and he hoped that all of them would be completed as per the prescribed schedule. He said sufficient funds have been allocated for the execution of development projects besides a major chunk of CDA’s budget been specified for development purposes as well as up-gradation of environment, water conservation and better supply.

The spokesperson said in order to ensure timely completion, the Authority has also devised a monitoring mechanism to review the pace of work on development projects on a regular basis. He dispelled the impression that any financial crunch is halting the launch of development projects. The patchwork for the provision of missing facilities in different sectors has been expedited and CDA is also gearing up efforts to develop neglected areas of the federal capital.
