Unutilised industrial land will be cancelled’

KARACHI: The government will cancel land allotments made for setting up industrial units if they are not utilised for the purpose they are allotted for, warned Sindh Minister for Industry Abdul Rauf Siddiqui here on Monday. He said the government was taking all measures to revive industries in Sindh, as it is imperative for the revival of the economy. The minister was speaking to members of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) at a luncheon meeting. “We have proposed to the government that all industrial units based in industrial states in Sindh should be able to generate their own power up to 200MW for consumption and also to sell to other factories as a measure to overcome the power crisis, Rauf said. staff report
