Three Punjab secretaries, LDA DG transferred

THE Punjab government on Tuesday transferred and posted seven officers including three provincial secretaries, Lahore Development Authority director general, Parks and Horticulture Authority DG and Rawalpindi district coordination officer.

The tussle between the flour millers and the provincial government caused transfer of Capt (Retd) Iftikhar Ahmad, Food Department secretary. He has been posted as PHA DG, Lahore, vice Muhammad Irfan Elahi, transferred and posted as the secretary food.

The transfer of Irfan Ali, LDA DG, had been on the cards for the last couple of week. He has been transferred and posted as chairman of the Punjab Privatization Board, relieving Javed Aslam, additional chief secretary, of the additional charge. Shahid Mahmood, Planning and Development Department secretary, has been transferred and posted as the LDA DG.

Muhammad Jehanzeb Khan, member, P and D Board, Punjab, Lahore, has been transferred and posted as secretary to the government of the Punjab, Livestock and Dairy Development Department, relieving Javed Iqbal Awan of additional charge. Rab Nawaz, Addl secretary, Punjab Commerce and Investment Department, has been transferred and posted as P and D secretary. Notification transferring Rab Nawaz as member, P&D Board, Punjab, Lahore, vice Imran Ahmad and entrusting him additional charge of the post of Programme Director, PMU, Punjab Resource Management Programme, relieving Fawad Hassan Fawad of additional charge, has been cancelled.

Jamal Mustafa Syed, DCO, Rawalpindi, has been granted 120 days earned leave, subject to title. Upon expiry of leave, Jamal Mustafa Syed will report to the S&GAD, government of the Punjab, for further orders.

Imdad Ullah Bosal, Addl Secretary, Punjab Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as DCO, Rawalpindi.
