Gilani rejects allotment policy for Gulshan-e-Jinnah

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has rejected new allotment policy for residents of Gulshan-e-Jinnah Complex, sources in the Ministry of Housing and Works told Online. He has directed the authorities that residents should not be evacuated forcefully. “Allotments of only those residents should be cancelled who have not paid rents,” he added. The ministry had quashed old allotment policy and introduced new one instead. The new policy envisaged that residents should get their allotments renewed after every three months. Upon this, the residents appealed to the prime minister (PM) to take notice of the ministry’s decision. They are now relieved that the PM has listened to their just demand. online
