RDA seeks details of illegal constructions to launch operation

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has sought details of illegal domestic and commercial constructions from building inspectors to begin a crackdown on illegally constructed building in the city. There are several illegal buildings in areas under the control of the RDA. Certain elements of the authority are carrying out commercial constructions at sites that have been approved for domestic constructions as per maps. The RDA launches operation from time to time and imposes fine on violators. Notices are also being issued to the owners in Gulrez who have constructed buildings 10 years ago without maps. The owners have been asked to get their constructions regularised
