CDA asked to name road after Josh

Monday, December 09, 2013 - Islamabad—Speakers at a seminar here have urged the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to name a main road of the Federal Capital after Josh Malih Abadi, a great literary figure of the Sub-continent, to acknowledge his services.

The conference was organized by Josh Literary Foundation to commemorate 117th birth anniversary of Josh Malih Abadi here at Pakistan Academy of Letters.

Addressing the conference as chief guest, Agha Nasir, a contemporary of the great writer, said Josh was a revolutionary poet and a glittering figure of his era but his message was not conveyed to the younger generation in its real context. He said people were forgetting Josh as no adequate steps were taken to preserve his writings and inform the youth of his message.
