CDA asked to submit reply in I-15 petition
ISLAMABAD, Nov 27: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday ordered the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to submit reply in a petition filed by the allottees of flats in sector I-15. The petitioners Mohammad Altaf and Beenish Mumtaz through their counsel Barrister Masroor Shah contended before the court that they had applied for allotment of flat in sector I-15 in 2005 in response to an advertisement by the CDA. The counsel argued that despite taking the entire amount for the constructed flat, CDA failed to deliver its possession. “CDA has been hoodwinking the public at large for almost eight years now and had spent the money it has received from allottees on its extravagance and non-development expenditures” he alleged. Barrister Shah further argued that if CDA had plots for allotment to political and bureaucratic bigwigs and its own high officials, it was its legal and statutory responsibility to adjust the I-15 allottees first who have been waiting for return on their investment for years |
