RDA Approves Road Improvement Project
Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) announced the approval of four road projects worth Rs1.262 billion in the Garrison City.
Decision was taken during the meeting of RDA senior officials, chaired by Commissioner Zahid Saeed. It is also announced that the project will commence next month under Punjab Annual Development Programme. The plan includes the construction of roads from Ammar Chowk to Karal Chowk, making the road at Shamsabad double, improvement of Adiala Road and Ch. Bostan Khan Road from Chaklala Scheme-III to Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench. Roads needed urgent repair and additional lanes in order to cater to the increasing traffic flow. Commissioner told that all the construction work will be completed within three to four months. He further added that traffic will not be impeded by construction. Construction of roads would solve traffic congestion in the city. RDA will start some other mega projects after completing the metro bus project. |
