CDA initiates Beautification Work in Islamabad Red Zone
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started beautification and maintenance work in the Red Zone of Islamabad.
The Deputy Director General (DDG) Environment wing of the CDA, Sardar Irfan said that precious imported plants and green belts of the Red Zone were damaged by the sit-ins protestors. As per CDA officials, Capital city was adversely affected by the sit-ins and due to inadequate facilities, various epidemic diseases were spreading around the Red Zone. Several patients had been admitted in the hospitals. Islamabad is the most beautiful city in Pakistan but recent sit-ins had adversely affected its beauty, landscaping and footpaths. 200 employees had been deployed by the civic body for the restoration, beautification and maintenance work of the city. |
