Federal Cabinet Allows CDA to Enter Into Joint Ventures
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to compensate the affectees of Mouza Noon in Islamabad and started paying them.
For this, land and estate wing of the authority has disbursed Rs100 million as compensation amount to the remaining affectees of Sectors H-16 and I-17 of Islamabad. As per CDA official, these payments are being made on the directions of Islamabad High Court (IHC). The affectees who owned a land up to two kanals are being compensated. Chairman CDA Maroof Afzal has directed the concerned officials to ensure the payments to the affectees, who owned the land up to 2 kanals. To ensure transparency in the payment procedure, office is established at the site instead of the CDA offices and the concerned officers have been directed to ensure their presence in the camp office. Following the IHC directions, the CDA land and estate wing has made payments to 58 affectees and took possession of one hundred and 16 kanals of land in Mouza Noon. |
