NRO beneficiaries should resign from offices: PML-N

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Information Secretary Ahsan Iqbal has demanded the NRO beneficiaries resign from public offices on moral grounds, a private TV channel reported on Saturday. According to the channel, the PML-N leader said the NRO beneficiaries should face their cases in the courts.

He said the NRO beneficiaries’ list revealed that the PML-N did not benefit from the controversial ordinance. He said his party opposed the NRO from day one as it considered it contrary to the law of the land. PML-N’s Khawaja Asif said the NRO beneficiaries should go to the courts to seek justice.

He said the NRO was a brainchild of the PML-Quaid President Shujaat Hussain, who supported dictatorial regime of former president Pervez Musharraf for nine years. He said the PML-Q benefited from the controversial NRO, adding that the beneficiaries should resign from their offices on moral grounds. daily times monitor
