IDBA asks lawyers to submit copies of educational certificates

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad District Bar Association (IDBA) has directed the lawyer community to submit copies of their academic certificates and licenses within 15 days.

IDBA President Wajid Ali Naushad told Daily Times that this process had been initiated after the direction from the Punjab Bar Association (PBA). He said lawyers had been directed to submit photocopies of their all certificates within 15 days. He said IDBA would send these copies to the relevant universities for their verification.

He said IDBA would attach a verification form with certificates of every candidate. He said that district bar would take strict action against fake degree-holders.

Talking about the fake licenses, Naushad said that licenses would also be sent for their verification and no one would be allowed to do practice on fake license or any other person’s license.
