SC seeks report on implementation of verdict
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has taken a serious notice of the fact that the court orders dated June 4, 2010 declaring establishment of a fast food restaurant illegal in Fatima Jinnah Park, Islamabad had not been fully implemented. According to a press release, the CJP on Wednesday directed that notice be issued to the parties and the counsel appearing on their behalf as well as Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman and Secretary Establishment Division, Government of Pakistan, to appear in person on September 17 along with comprehensive report clearly and in unambiguous terms stating as to whether the judgment has been implemented in letter and spirit within the stipulated period of three months. |
