NAB to launch awareness drive about housing societies

ISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi and Islamabad has decided to launch campaign for creating awareness among people of the twin cities about fake housing schemes and societies. The citizens will be provided full information before making investment in the societies through this campaign. PEMRA, RDA and PID will play their due role in making this campaign successful. It was decided in a meeting held under DG NAB Rawalpindi that RDA should develop a help line to provide all the information to the citizens about the housing societies and planning in this regard be hammered out in collaboration with PEMRA. It was decided that it should be made mandatory on housing society to provide full information, map of area and NOC before launching publicity campaign. PEMRA should ensure implementation of this rule in electronic media and PID in print media.
