LWMC to Ensure Clearance of Open Plots

The Managing Director Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) Khalid Majeed recently held a meeting with the administration of Turkish contractor companies i.e. Albayrak and Ozpak to give instructions to ensure clearance of waste heaps from all open plots throughout the city.

The meeting was specially scheduled in the wake of dengue season, during which the MD emphasized the said companies to take concrete measures to cope with citizens’ tendency to dispose of waste openly and to hold awareness raising activities on massive level.

He also stressed to make sure clearance of identified open plots within 20 days by deploying all necessary resources including additional machinery.
