No more filling stations on Islamabad Expressway
ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has banned issuance of permits for more filling stations at the Islamabad Expressway in order to ensure security of the VVIPs, a senior CDA official told APP on Thursday. He said the areas sandwiched between Faizabad and Airport Chowk would be affected by the ban. “Moreover, it has also been decided to provide entry to the already existing filling stations from the adjacent road instead of the expressway,” he added. He elaborated that after closure of the points leading to these stations, it would be easier to secure the road during the movement of big guns. “It will also reduce the traffic hazards being caused by these stations,” he hoped. app
