PIA pilots suggest special flights for relief work
KARACHI: Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has a squadron of Boeing-747 that should be deployed to accelerate the relief work and the pilots are ready to work tirelessly on dedicated flights for relief goods, said Captain Suhail Baloch who heads the Pakistan Airline Pilots Association (PALPA).
Addressing a news conference on Wednesday at the Club House, he said that all the relief efforts should be separated from the routine passenger flights. He made it clear that PALPA was committed for the dedicated flights for bringing relief goods, but pilots would not compromise safety standards of the flights. He said that the pilots would also contribute their earnings for the flood victims, as PALPA does not want to play politics at a time when the entire nation was suffering from a natural calamity. |
