'CDA to execute self-sustainable housing projects in future'
Capital Development Authority (CDA) would execute self-sustainable projects in future and would launch more residential sectors to cater to the growing housing needs in the federal Capital. This was stated by the Member Estate CDA, Shaista Sohail during her meeting with a 21-member delegation of Secretariat Staff of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Civil Secretariat from Staff Training Institute, Peshawar, who visited CDA Headquarters here on Monday.
Member Estate while briefing the participants informed that Islamabad is the only city of Pakistan which is planned and developed on the basis of Ekistics, a science of human settlements. She said that Islamabad has well-planned roads infrastructure, recreational and amusement spots, best medical and other facilities in line with Master Plan and according to international standards. She further informed them about the functions of civic agency, its administrative structure, financial affairs, on-going projects and future development of the city. She informed the delegation that CDA has completed many mega projects since the inception of Islamabad, while some of the mega projects are in progress. The delegation expressed their deep interest during the detailed briefing and asked many questions.- |
