Police directed to keep record of rented houses

PESHAWAR: NWFP police chief Malik Naveed Khan on Thursday directed police high ups throughout the province to collect information about those rented out houses which are accommodating only males. A statement issued here said the police high ups have been directed to prepare lists of those houses through concerned Station House Officers (SHOs) where males are residing without families. He also directed SHOs to hold meetings with property dealers and make them bound to verify identity cards and other documents of persons from relevant departments to whom houses are to be rented out and submit these in the concerned police stations. It was also directed that whoever gives his house on rent will have to submit report in person duly supported by all necessary documents to the police station concerned. staff report
