ANP lawyers wing to participate in long march

PESHAWAR: Malgarey Wakeelan, the lawyers’ wing of Awami National Party, Sunday announced participation in the long march and sit-in on March 16.

This was decided at the general body meeting held at the lower courts and was chaired by Abdul Latif Afridi and Razaullah. Fazlur Rehman Khan, Ishtiaq Ibraheem, Muhammad Rafiq Mohmand, Tilla Khan, Behram Khan, Fazle Haleem, Ayaz Khan, Ashfaq Ahmad Khalil, Akhtar Buland and others attended the meeting.

They speakers said the lawyer community would continue its struggle till the achievements of the goals. They said the Awami National Party always supported democratic norms and offered sacrifices for democracy in the country. A resolution condemning attacks on the shrine of Rahman Baba and Bahadur Baba was also passed. Later, a committee was constituted to supervise arrangements for the long march.
