DHA to participate in flood relief operations

KARACHI: The Defence Officers Housing Authority (DOHA) and Clifton Cantonment Board (CBC) in a joint meeting have decided to establish ‘DHA Flood Relief Emergency Fund’ to collect relief goods and dispatch them expeditiously to the flood-stricken areas. The meeting chaired by DHA administrator Brig Khalid Masood, discussed measures for devising a strategy for raising and collecting maximum funds and relief goods in Sindh. Masood appealed to the residents to contribute generously for the flood relief operations because the victims were in immediate need of support. The meeting also decided that DHA officers in Grade 17 and above, and employees in Grade 1-16 would contribute their 3-day and 2-day salary to the relief fund, respectively.
