Karachi: Team formed to probe ‘occupation’ of Gadap land

Taking note of news reports regarding encroachment and illegal occupation of government land in Gaddap and Malir towns, Sindh Minister for Revenue and Relief Jam Saifullah Khan Dharejo has constituted a high-level inquiry committee to submit its findings within seven days so that further legal action may be taken against encroachers.

The minister issued this direction while presiding over a high-level meeting at his office, said a government spokesman on Friday.

It was also decided to conduct a joint survey and demarcation of land in Malir area under the supervision of Sindh Revenue and Malir Development Authority (MDA) officers within one month. It was decided that No Objection Certificate would not be issued till the completion of joint survey of the land.

The Minister for Revenue and Relief directed the Managing Director MDA to ensure the payment of outstanding amount of Revenue land in due course of time or else the allotment would be cancelled at any time.
