Robert Agricultural Farm scam: LHC petitioned to order action against Moonis

LAHORE: Tariq Aziz Malik advocate on Thursday moved a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC), seeking directions for Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah to take legal action against Moonis Elahi for his alleged involvement in the Robert Agricultural Farm deal.

The counsel submitted that the law minister accused Moonis of illegally occupying 638 kanals of state land during the last government and usurping the rights of tenants who were the real custodians of the land. He said the minister had shown evidence to reporters outside the Punjab Assembly. He said the government exchequer lost billions of rupees due to the illegal deal. He said Sanaullah was bound to initiate legal proceedings against the illegal transaction, adding he was violating his oath and Articles 3 and 4 of the Constitution by not taking any action.
