Businessmen urged to play role in flood-hit areas rehab

ISLAMABAD: The business community has to play a key role to overcome the sustainability challenges of the 21st century specially after-affects of heavy flood in different parts of the country, said Federal Environment Minister Hameedullah Jan Afridi.

In a meeting with business community of FATA here on Tuesday, he said that the country was facing big disaster in the form of heavy flood that has adversely affected the whole infrastructure in different parts of the country.

He said that in the current economic conditions, as capital becomes scarce, donors and investors would be encouraged in providing financial assistance.

The minister urged the business community of FATA to come forward and play their role for rehabilitation of flood affected people as well as development of over all economic situation.
