The TMA has allocated Rs50.217 million for parks, playgrounds, gardens and open spaces. The concerned authority allocated Rs4 million for road transport patch work, road cuts and rehabilitation and allocated Rs31.79 million for surface drainage, street drainage, storm water drainage and manholes covers. An amount of Rs1.5 million was allocated for water treatment filtration plants.

Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Rawal Town Administrator Saif Anwar Jappa, while talking to journalists, said that they would create more and more sources for revenue generation to make Rawalpindi a developed city.

He admitted that some inspectors were involved in worst kinds of violations including building by-laws violations. “I have issued show-cause notices to corrupt officials of TMA to root out corruption mafia,” he claimed. He also said that Rawalpindi Slaughterhouse would become operational on July 1.
