LDA advisory for land buyers
LAHORE
IN order to safeguard the interest of public at large, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has issued an advisory to all the prospective land buyers and investors, directing them to thoroughly check documents of land before making payments. A warning notice issued on Monday by the authority said except LDA no other authority or Town Municipal Administration/Tehsil Municipal Administration or any local body or any other government agency was authorised to approve any private housing scheme/land sub-divisions in Lahore division after 19.09.2013 and any approval granted by any other authority or Town Municipal Administration/tehsil administration or any local body or any other government agency in Lahore Division, after 19.09.2013 would not be valid and lawful. Sponsors are not allowed to advertise any scheme or project prior to the formal approval by the Lahore Development Authority and without getting a No Objection Certificate from the Lahore Development Authority. It said the advertisement must contain the total area of the scheme with location plan, aggregate of residential and commercial plots, detail of mortgaged plots, period of completion of development works, name of competent authority and sanction number of the layout plan of the scheme and procedure of allotment of plots through balloting or otherwise and details of plots to be sold. “It has been noticed that advertisements of some schemes are being published in the newspaper without getting the No Objection Certificate from the Lahore Development Authority and without observing the recommended contents of advertisement as contained in the Lahore Development Authority Private Housing Scheme Rules 2014,” the warning said, adding in the public interest all the advertising agencies were requested to ensure that sponsor had No Objection Certificate from the Lahore Development Authority for the advertisement to be published in print and electronic media and the abovementioned requirements of advertisement were fulfilled. The prospective buyers of plots in any housing scheme/land sub-division in jurisdiction of Lahore division are advised that before purchasing plots in any of the private housing scheme, make sure that valid NOC of the LDA for advertisement of the scheme was mentioned in the advertisement and all the abovementioned details of advertisement of the scheme were given in the advertisement. The prospective buyers of plots in any housing scheme/land sub-division in jurisdiction of Lahore division are further advised to get information about the legality of the housing scheme/land subdivision and status of plot(s) from the Lahore Development Authority. LWMC: Taking advantage of the latest advances in the telecommunication technology, the Lahore Waste Management Company has decided to introduce the android based attendance system at union council level in the provincial capital. Managing Director LWMC Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary announced this while addressing a press conference on Monday at his office in Shaheen Complex. He said this system would put an end to the issue of ghost workers. |
