Lahore: LDA demolishes 50 illegally constructed platforms in Johar Town, Faisal Town

LAHORE: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) demolished 50 platforms constructed illegally along showrooms and offices, opposite Jinnah Hospital in Johar Town and on Faisal Town Main Boulevard, on Monday. The operation was carried out in collaboration with officials of Estate Management Directorate, town-planning wing of the LDA and Water and Sanitation Agency. According to a handout, the LDA staff also removed scores of other infringements during the operation. All these encroachments were causing impediments to flow of traffic and accumulation of water. The encroachers will be dealt under sections 33, 34 and 40 of LDA Act 1975, the handout added. staff report
