FIA to secure all entry, exit points

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is to implement a multi-million dollar Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) to secure all entry and exit points of Pakistan, Dawn News reported on Wednesday. According to the channel, the PC-1 of the project has already been approved and the government would spend around Rs 500 million to put the phase into operation. The FIA would implement the project and would soon invite bids to procure support systems and software. The channel quoted FIA sources as confirming that the project would provide a comprehensive security cover to Pakistan by keeping a track of all sorts of transport entering and leaving the country. A team has been working on the project and is planning the timeline for the development and implementation of the security system. daily times monitor
