NAB Arrested PHA Personnel for Land Fraud

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested a clerk of the Provincial Housing Authority (PHA) for helping a former land acquisition collector of the authority to peculate over 400 million in acquisition of land at Nathiagali area of Abbottabad.

A NAB official revealed that a clerk at the land acquisition section of PHA assisted the then land acquisition collector, Naveed Qadir. Naveed is the one who is mainly accused in the case and is in Central Jail, Peshawar right now for embezzling the public money.

According to official statement, the clerk withdrew an amount of Rs5,400,000 from the official account of land acquisition collector and distributed illegal money among other officials.

The accused would be produced before the Accountability Court, Peshawar for obtaining his physical remand, according to the NAB statement.
