Benazir’s will fake, claims Khar
Benazir’s will fake, claims Khar
Wednesday, July 30, 2008 By Our Correspondent LAHORE VETERAN PPP leader and former Punjab Governor Malik Ghulam Mustafa Khar has said that the ‘will’ of PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto, which was shown by Asif Ali Zardari after her death was fake. The ‘will’ purported to be Benazir Bhutto’s was just a fake and was prepared in London after her assassination to hoodwink the PPP and masses, he told a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Tuesday. Khar claimed that whatever he was saying was based on complete confidence and authority. “I know very well what I am talking and my claim is based on facts,” said Khar in an emotional voice. He said, “Benazir Bhutto can never have wished to nominate a person whom she want to ‘stay in Dubai’ to look after the children as the party co-chairperson.” He said apart from that, there were several other reasons that proved the ‘will’ as a false and fake document. Khar demanded that PPPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari should inform the people why he nominated a weak man like Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani for the post of prime minister. Khar expressed sorrow that, “The country is not in safe hands and it has been proved beyond doubts that Asif Ali Zardari is enjoying all the powers of the prime minister.” He asked, “What is the use of a prime minister when all the decisions have to be made by Asif Ali Zardari.” To a question, Khar said that the government had badly failed to ensure even smallest relief to the masses. “The government has badly failed to ensure its writ and it seems that there is no government in any part of the country,” he observed. He asked, “If there is any government in the country then why the orders of the PPPP leadership are not being implemented?” He also expressed concerns over the fast deteriorating political, economic and law and order situation in the country, saying, “Situation is getting worse with every passing day.” He suggested that the prime minister should dissolve the assemblies and hold fresh elections so that situation could be improved. Khar warned that national stability would badly suffer if the ongoing situation continued. To another question, he said that he was contacting ‘important personalities’ of the PPPP to pull the country out of the crises it faced at present. When asked about the future of the coalition government, Khar said there was no coalition government in the country since the ‘PPPP leadership was only looking after its personal interests’ and it was the reason he had advised the prime minister to dissolve the assemblies so that the country could be saved from “anti-state elements.” http://www.thenews.com.pk/daily_detail.asp?id=126973 |
