Islamabad: House owners directed to obtain NOC before renting to foreigners

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to survey the capital’s residential areas to ascertain the number of foreigners living in rented houses.

The step has been taken in view of delicate security situation in the capital, said a press release of the Interior Ministry on Tuesday. The release said the house owners had also been directed to obtain an NOC from the Islamabad Capital Territory’s (ICT) administration before renting out their property to foreigners. It further said violators of the directive would be liable to penal action.
