The programme offers a low-cost tele-centre starting from Rs33,000. NADRA will contribute to this cause by offering e-sahulat to these tele-centres as per conditions of e-sahulat franchise scheme, stated a press release. The Intel World Ahead Programme has been working with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom to accelerate technology education and usage in the country. David Fosberg, Regional Director Intel World Ahead Programme for Asia Pacific, said: “This is an initiative that aims to bring self-employment opportunities for the unemployed and increase PC usage in the country.” Mohammed Yaseen, Chairman PTA said: “Partnering on this front with Intel will enable both economy and technology, and if we keep working together with a healthy interaction, we can transform our nation in a much better shape. It will not only be profitable for the entrepreneur, but for everyone involved.” Saleem Rafique, NADRA Chief Operating Officer, said: “With the launch of this programme, we can make our nation financially strong by providing plentiful opportunities to people where they can set up their own businesses and earn a decent living in this tough time.” http://www.thenews.com.pk/daily_detail.asp?id=192948 |
